Causes of global issues

Lack of education is the root of all global issues. Problems can be avoided only if people are aware of things and understand them deeply. Watch the videos to get a more thorough understanding of this concept.

How to solve global issues

To solve a problem one has to cut it at its root. Therefore, to solve global issues, we have to improve the educational system. It is essential that everyone must have the opportunity (and must exploit it too) to go to school till they have completed high school, without having to pay any amount of money for it. Education must become more open- minded and international and must be able to produce informed individuals, capable of living a life based on their own aspirations but respectful of all other people, animals and things.
It’s not necessary to dedicate one’s life to ‘saving the World’ to do some good: everyone can help through little actions.
Little things make life beautiful: a smile, a hug, an afternoon spent watching a film with a friend.. In the same way it’s small things which can contribute to a better World. Think about how much it’d cost you to do these things, and think about how much it would help if many people did them:
·         Spreading your knowledge and enriching it: talking to others about your own opinions, listening to theirs and coming up with a more complete, educated one.
·         Being happy and trying to make others happy: never take choices which don’t make you truly happy unless there’s no other choice and try to treat others kindly.
·         Thinking and trying to understand before judging others: incomprehension often leads to superficial, negative judgments, which lead to bad interpersonal relationships.
·         Searching for answers by all methods: the unknown causes fear, confusion and hate.

Why we should solve global issues

The fact that some people still say “I’m aware that pollution is causing serious damage to our planet, but I don’t care because I’ll be dead before the problem will get really big” is absurd, scary and an insult to human intelligence. First of all, unless you’re planning to die in the next few months, if you haven’t yet, then you will suffer from extremely serious consequences of today’s global issues: some countries are being devastated by the effects of pollution already. Furthermore, not doing anything about an issue just because one isn’t directly affected by it is horribly egoistic and short- minded. In some way, all problems indirectly affect us and, often, directly affect either us or those who we love. Moreover, we shouldn’t want to save the planet just because we’re on it, but because this planet is such a beautiful place, which has gifted us such beautiful lives, that we simply have to help it, even more so seeing that we’ve caused all global issues.

How urgent is solving global issues?

1.   Solving global issues is extremely urgent. People don’t seem to realise this and just tend to say that they don’t care about the World’s problems as they’ll be dead when they’ll have any serious consequences. Well, for all those who still lull themselves into this brainless belief, GLOBAL ISSUES ARE AFFECTING US NOW! It’s useless to think that problems are for others to solve, that we’re in the safe part of the World, that statistics are being invented to scare us into doing what governments want, that it’s all a terrorist plot, that everything’s going to be all right- because it’s not!
There’s no way to prove that global issues are real or not, one may say, but, for that matter, we can’t prove ANYTHING to be true then. If we can’t rely on the global statistics which tell us that devastating phenomena are happening NOW and will worsen in the next few years because of our irresponsibility towards the planet, then why should we believe those who say that the Earth orbits around the sun? Denying everything and saying that it’s just a complot is such a popular attitude nowadays simply because it permits people to stand there and do nothing.
Let’s take global warming as an example of a global issue. No matter how many people try to convince themselves that it’is just an invention to ‘tame’ the global population into doing what people in power want or that it’s just a natural event, this won’t change the fact that since the 1980s average global temperature has been increasing at a scary pace and that countries aren’t managing to keep the rate of increase at safe levels. It has been proved that climate phenomena are correlated to the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and that therefore global warming is caused by us. Statistics clearly show that global warming is not fictional and that it’s having devastating effects. Hurricanes and inundations have become significantly more frequent as a result of climate instability causing death and destruction. Even though some countries find that their climate is actually colder this is simply because the increase in temperature is not spread evenly. For example it doesn’t affect the seas as much as the land and makes northern Europe colder whilst it makes the Arctic incredibly warmer. This is illustrated in the following map:
Global warming is an inexact word: what is actually happening is an extraordinarily fast and destructive global climate change which not only makes some countries warmer and others colder (but on a World average a lot warmer) but also, as a consequence of this, modifies precipitation patterns, affecting areas with unbelievable amounts of rain and others with earth cracking droughts.
By 2050 half of all Himalaya glaciers will melt, depriving 23% of China’s population of a vital water source without which water wars will start. I bet some of the people who say they won’t be affected by global warming aren’t planning to die in the next 40 years..
The World’s climate is dramatically changing, becoming more extreme and unpredictable and potentially dangerous. We can’t stop the short- term effects of this because it’s too late. But if we don’t stop polluting now in less than a century this World will be so different that we won’t be able to recognize it: animal species will extinguish themselves one after the other and the land will change face completely, becoming covered in more and more deserts. If we don’t stop polluting now then there’s no way that the human species is going to survive the calamities which will affect the Earth.
